Pastoral Note—New Website, Next Podcast, No Phishing

Dear Cornerstone Family,

I am delighted to announce the launch of our new website! With updated content and features, we hope the new site will serve as a warm and welcoming front door to our church—helping visitors learn who we are, what we believe, and how they can worship and grow with us. For our members, the website provides an easier way to find information about upcoming events and access to lots of resources like sermons, pastoral notes, midweek talks, and the Life at the Corner podcast to name a few.

A project like this doesn’t come together on its own. I am grateful for the team that researched, designed, wrote, reviewed, and problem-solved their way to the finished product. I want to express my sincere gratitude to Greg Wilbur, Max Shell, Kelley Shell, Caleb Stroven, Everett Vencel, and Sebastian Bjernegård. Each contributed in different ways to this noble effort. Please join me in thanking them for serving our church so faithfully and helping us communicate Cornerstone’s life and mission more clearly

Speaking of announcements, the restart of the Life at the Corner podcast is underway! The first episode of season four dropped last week. Every Monday (Lord willing) we will release a new episode. Upcoming episodes will include conversations about what it means to contend with God in prayer, biblical masculinity, and the ministry of reaching out.

Please listen in each week and share the podcast with friends and family who may benefit from these conversations. We pray that our new website and renewed podcast will both help Cornerstone make the grace and truth of Christ more widely known.

As we rejoice in a new website and a restarted podcast, let me also issue an important word of caution. From time to time, phishing emails are sent impersonating our pastors and church leaders. These phishing messages often appear to come from me asking the recipient to send money, purchase gift cards, and to respond quickly and privately.

For starters, I will never email you personally asking you to send me money or purchase a gift. If you receive such a message, you may disregard and delete it. On that note, please also exercise wisdom and caution before responding to any fishy-looking messages with unexpected requests or clicking unfamiliar links. If you are ever uncertain whether an email from a church staff member or leader is legitimate, please contact the church office directly at admin@cstonepres.org. We will be glad to help you verify it.
