Called to Life and Service

In this class we will consider the biblical concept of "calling" (vocation). We will begin generally, looking at the various ideas united by the relevant terms, then consider calling in the light of Creation, Fall, and Redemption. Finally we will zero in on the way vocation shapes our understanding of our daily work, in both the family and the broader community. Join Roger Wagner in the Chapel starting September 6.

Tracing the Themes of Scripture

The Bible is one book telling one main story. But it can be difficult to see the connections between the two testaments and the 66 books of the Bible. In this series, we will look at several overarching themes that span the whole Bible in order to become better readers of Scripture. We will also see how many of these themes find their center in Jesus. Join Pastor Sebastian in the Fellowship Hall as we grow not only in our knowledge of Scripture but also our love of Christ.

On the first Sunday of each month, a group from Cornerstone leads a brief worship service at Morning Pointe of Franklin, a senior living facility. Let's have a picnic, Cornerstone! Mark your calendars for a churchwide potluck picnic on Sunday, September 13, 4:30-6:30 p.m. at Strahl Street Park. This will be a potluck-style meal, so please bring a main dish with a side or a dessert to share. The church will provide drinks and plates/utensils.
