Worship Notes and Bulletin for Sunday, March 30, 2014

Luke 17 continues with a picture of the coming Kingdom. The Call to Worship from Psalm 145 speaks of the glory of the Lord’s kingdom that is everlasting and endures through all generations. We continue by singing Yet Servants of God and the glorious kingdom of Christ to whom we ascribe our great salvation. In All Earth to Him, we sing of the homage that the whole earth brings to the King of kings for His Kingdom is one of authority and of right. Let Your Glory Rise prays for the day when the glory of the Lord will cover the whole earth.The Confession of Sin from Galatians 5 confronts our hearts with the warring desires of our flesh against the call to walk by the Spirit. We are reminded that those who walk by the flesh do not inherit the kingdom of God, but God has delivered us from the domain of darkness through redemption in Christ.

The Profession of Faith from I Corinthians 15 speaks to the nature of the resurrection of the dead and the raising of the spiritual from the natural body. The first communion hymn, Lo! He Comes with Clouds Descending is a wonderful cry for the day of the Lord and the coming of Christ in power and glory. Jesus Let Us Come to Know You is a simpler prayer for the Christ to draw us to Him and to bring us Home.

We conclude with Jesus Shall Reign and the blessings of the lordship of Christ in His reign with the extension of the rule of Christ and His kingdom that stretches from shore to shore.
