Welcome to the Cornerstone Prayer Ministry! 

Prayer is a critical part of the Christian community, the Church. We are dedicated to praying for the needs of our community and encouraging a spirit of prayer in all members of Cornerstone.

Vision

What does it mean to “pray without ceasing,” as Paul encourages the Thessalonian church? In prayer we present our true selves before God, and we also listen for God’s voice and presence in our lives.  The vision of the Cornerstone Prayer Ministry is to help everyone grow into a closer relation to God through prayer.

Purpose

The purpose of the Prayer Ministry is to nurture and tend a spirit of prayer throughout the entire congregation by:

o   Interceding for the prayer needs of the body of Christ and for the work of ministry.

o   Teaching and training on prayer for the maturing of Cornerstone’s prayer life.

o   Creating and preparing prayer guides and other materials for Cornerstone’s prayer life.   

o   Organizing opportunities for corporate prayer at Cornerstone

Participate

Beginning in September, we are adjusting our meeting schedule to the first and third Thursday of each month, meeting at 6:30 p.m. at The Corner House.  These meetings are a vital part of the Prayer Ministry's service to the church and we invite everyone at Cornerstone to join us in prayer.

God’s Word is full of His promises to hear and respond to our prayers. He also tells us to share our prayers. Your prayer requests are welcome by the Cornerstone Prayer Ministry.  God’s answers to our requests fill us with praise for His goodness and encourage us to pray with even more confidence.

We encourage you to submit your prayer requests. The members of the intercessory prayer team will pray for your needs throughout the week. Updates on prayer requests by email are greatly appreciated.
