We continue this week with the theme of “Love Like You’ve Been Loved” and the call of the Gospel on our lives. We begin with a traditional Call to Worship from Psalm 95 and the desire to sing, be joyful and be thankful for the Lord is a great God. We follow by singing Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise being mindful of His attributes and His soaring justice. In O Come and Sing to God the Lord (Psalm 95), we sing the words from our Call to Worship.
In the Prayer of Confession from Psalm 25, we are reminded that we are reluctant to serve God and follow His ways because of our pride and our desire to follow our own paths. But in Titus 3, we receive the joyous news that God saved us according to His mercy richly poured out on us through Jesus. We respond by singing All Praise to Our Redeeming Love and the call to love our brothers and sisters as well as neighbors.
In our Communion Hymns, we sing Holy Father, Hear my Cry and Tender Mercy—both prayers of praise and for mercy. We remember the saving grace of the blood of the Christ and the cleansing work of the Spirit. The final hymn, Come Ye Souls, is an encouragement to walk in the grace of the Lord as we follow His commands and walk in His paths.
